INFORMATIONs

Weird-Flower Studio has inherited a slew of old nomenclature, from the previous owners of the studio. A few of these terms have stuck around, mostly due to lazyness. Most of us agree (certainly not all) that there is a certain quaintness, if not overtly simplistic (unimaginative), inherent in many of the following terms. The following glossary aims to clarify and give nuance to these inhereted terms.

The S.T.R.E.A.M. : (Subconscious Transitory Recursive Energy Argument Mosaic; The Stream; Stream) An inhereted and flawed term, but one that we have yet to replace. Probably referring to a "stream of consciousness" of sorts. A quasi-real environment that allows a great degree of imagintive-reality, in addition to acting as a sort of connecting synapse between, what may be the larger human (only human?) collective conscioussness. This connection takes the form of a (usually) quiet ribbon of water, that runs down the middle of the Streams channel. Much is not known about the ecology or origin of the Stream

Culverts: The entrance to a respective S.T.R.E.A.M.. Like their water-divererting civic infrastructure cousins, the culverts that lead to the Stream divert our (and your) intent to a quasi-real place. The name can be misleading as not all culverts to the Stream look the same. Culverts can be discovered by individuals or groups. A grove of trees, a narrow alley that leads under ground, A deserted office floor, are other recorded examples of culverts, an entrance to the Stream.

Culvert concrete: It is not known if the concrete like material is a reflection of a present day zeitgeist or collective consciousness, or just bears a resemblance to the cement and water mixture. Studying the makeup and nature* of the concrete is a focus for some here at the studio.

Parallel Fauna: The collective term for fauna found in and around the Stream. Parallel was likely used to convey the inability for the fauna to exist in the world outside the Streams environment. Only through expressions of artists can the forms of Parallel Fauna be carried beyond the culverts.

The Channel: The general term for the outerlying areas surrounding the Stream bed proper. While varying landscapes have been recorded, the concrete seems to be specifically prevelant to the studio.

Confluences: Areas where Streams meet other Streams. No one from the present iteration of the studio has confirmed this. There are recording from the previous studio's expiditions that speak of these places

The Estuary: The supposed place where the Stream flows. Is it an end place? An entrance to a larger body of water? Hazy and rambling journals of the previous studio refer to such a place.

Weird-Flower: A term of endearment Mauve and Violet gave to each other. As Mauve explains; "I was kissing Violet and the image of two weird fleshy flowers shoving and rubbing their pistal and stamens against one another, occured to me. So I said as much."
